The Israeli Diamond Institute

The Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) is a non-profit institution with government support, which unites all the organizations and institutions of the Israeli diamond industry, and works to strengthen and position Israel as one of the leading diamond centers in the world.

The shareholders of the institute, which was established in 1967, are the Ministry of Economy in the Government of Israel, the Israel Diamond Exchange, the Association of Diamond Manufacturers, the New Workers’ Union, and the banks active in the industry. The institute’s decisions are made by a board of directors representing all the shareholders, who act as one body to promote trade and the export of diamonds from Israel, for the benefit of the industry and the Israeli economy as a whole.

As part of its activities, the Diamond Institute initiated, established and manages the jewelry gallery of the Israeli diamond industry – a prestigious project and the first of its kind, which opens the doors of the diamond exchange to the public, and allows consumers to purchase jewelry directly from the leading diamond brands on the exchange, without paying “brokerage fees” to jewelry stores.

The Israeli diamond industry is considered a world leader in its field, but the public has yet to get to know the diamond companies that operate on the stock exchange, and enjoy a global reputation. This is where the vision was born that led to the establishment of the gallery as a prestigious space that allows local diamond companies to sell directly to the end consumer, and to offer a shopping experience different from any jewelry store you know. We invite you to visit the gallery complex, and feel for yourself the magic of our diamond industry

– Chairman of the Israeli Diamond Institute, Arnon Yuval
The gallery hosts 14 Israeli diamond companies with extensive experience and a global reputation, carefully selected by the Diamond Institute, in order to best represent the Israeli diamond industry. All the jewelry in the gallery is set with high-quality, natural diamonds only, made according to the highest standards, and accompanied by certificates from leading gemological laboratories.

The gallery also includes a digital visitor center that includes tutorials on the world of diamonds, positions of a jeweler and setter for custom jewelry design, advanced technological equipment for testing diamonds, a private lounge, and a quality cafe. All of these guarantee a prestigious, unique and reliable shopping experience, under the seal of control and quality of the Israeli Diamond Institute.
